Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

GIA Practice ("the app", "we", "our") is a mobile application designed to help users prepare for the Thomas General Intelligence Assessment. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is stored, and your rights.

2. Information the app stores

The app stores two types of data locally on your device using your operating system's built-in key-value storage (SharedPreferences on Android / NSUserDefaults on iOS):

• Language preference — the language code you have selected (e.g., "en", "fr", "ar"). This is used only to display the app in your chosen language when you reopen it.
• Test history — up to 20 of your most recent practice attempts. Each record contains: date/time of the attempt, number of correct and incorrect answers, average response time in seconds, and per-section accuracy. No name, email address, device identifier, or any other personal identifier is stored alongside these records.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, process, or store any of the following:

• Name, email address, or any contact information
• Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, Android ID, etc.)
• IP addresses or location data
• Crash logs or diagnostic reports sent to us
• Usage analytics or behavioural data
• Any data from your contacts, camera, microphone, or other device sensors

The app does not contain any advertising networks, analytics SDKs, social media SDKs, or third-party tracking libraries.

4. How locally stored data is used

The data stored on your device is used solely to provide the app's core functionality:

• Your language preference is read at launch to display content in your chosen language.
• Your test history is displayed within the Progress screen to help you track your improvement over time.

This data is never read by us and never leaves your device.

5. Third-party services

GIA Practice does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs that process your data.

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your interactions with those platforms are governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies, which are independent of this policy.

6. Children's privacy

GIA Practice does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it poses no special risk to children. If you have concerns, please contact us at support@giatest.com.

7. Your rights and data control

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:

• View your data — your test history is visible in the Progress screen within the app.
• Delete your history — tap Clear history in the Progress screen to remove all stored test records.
• Delete all app data — uninstall the app from your device. This permanently and irrecoverably removes all locally stored data.

Because we never receive your data, we are unable to fulfill data export or erasure requests on our end — your device is the sole location of any stored information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice within the app or on our website. Continued use of the app after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
